Project Manager - Site/Civil
Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Site/Civil for projects across Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts.
For more than 50 years, our client has built the infrastructure that defines their community - asphalt paving, site development, underground utilities, subdivision construction, and airport work. With a skilled crew and a large owned fleet, they have completed over 8,000 projects.
Professional and forward-thinking, but far from corporate. Their office is the kind of space you wouldn't expect from a civil contractor - bright, open, and well-appointed. Think Silicon Valley startup, not construction trailer. Stocked fridge, snacks available all day, and a modern layout that makes going into the office something to look forward to. You'd be very happy working here.
They invest in their people because they believe their team is their greatest asset. Careers are built here, and experienced people are respected for what they know and what they bring. We can say that with confidence - one of our own placements is still there 22 years later and, by all accounts, has never looked back.
The Role
You will own the schedule, the budget, and client relationships, supported by a highly experienced field team.
The ideal person for this job has 5 years of experience in civil construction, lives on/or wants to live on the Cape, and is looking to grow their career.
What You Will Do
- Own project delivery from award through closeout - schedule, budget, subcontractors, and client communication
- Coordinate with field superintendents to ensure safe, efficient, on-budget execution
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal, state, and private clients
- Identify risks early and get ahead of problems before they affect the project
- Execute quality projects on time with the goal of happy clients and repeat business
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction, site development, or heavy civil
- Demonstrated experience managing projects up to $20M+
- Strong working knowledge of earthwork, paving, utilities, and sitework operations
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents, experience with B2W Software
- MassDOT, municipal, or federal client experience is a strong plus
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred; equivalent field experience considered
- Based in southeastern Massachusetts or Cape Cod strongly preferred
Why This Role
- 50+ years of reputation - family-owned, not private equity
- Self-perform culture where PMs run real work, not just push paperwork
- Leadership that listens and invests in the people who produce - they have been in your shoes
- A genuine path toward senior leadership and operational responsibility
- Interesting, complex, high-profile projects across Massachusetts
- This is a company built on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement - it's not just what they say on their website, it's what their employees will happily say about them
Compensation

Flexible benefit options: Extra protection and retirement options, supplemental life & AD&D, accident insurance, 401K retirement plan, vision coverage
