Colm Allen, President
Colm says he’s lost count of the number of different jobs and careers that he’s held in his life. With a career in both Marine (British Petroleum) and Aviation (Qantas) engineering, this native of Naas in Ireland could call the world home, though Boston is where he likes to be. He’s spent time in South Africa, Australia, Persian Gulf and on the high seas as a member of the Merchant Marine. From building high-rises in Sydney Australia to helping banks in Boston work with foreclosed properties in the early 90’s, Colm knows the construction industry inside out – his specialty being structural steel. He describes himself as a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. He loves music “non Nashville country” and Celtic traditional, the Boston Red Sox (when they are winning), left hand guitar playing (he owns 36 guitars), and the work he does. His favorite saying is “I was born to recruit”. Colm believes that ethics matter very much in this industry and leads by example. As a kid growing up in Ireland he learned to buy and sell horses and cattle and always remembers there were no contracts. You shook hands and your word was your bond. Nothing has changed. He considers Construction Recruiters contracts not much more than flyers telling you what you get for your money. His word is his bond and his staff sees the world the exact same way. |

Leigh Quinn, Director of Training and Development
Leigh came on board in August of 2004 to help Construction Recruiters with training, standards and process. In an industry not known for integrity, we recognized a need to establish values and implement standards. This to be the absolute credible resource for our clients, candidates, media outlets and our potential new employees. He believes that no matter who the client is or which recruiter they work with, the process should be explicit, predictable and understood. He lives by the old adage of Ralph Waldo Emerson "what you do speaks so loud I can not hear what you say" |
