Drywall Estimator - Steel Framing
Description
If you are an Estimator stuck pricing the same flat scope over and over, and you've started to wonder whether this is all the job has to offer, read on.
I am recruiting a Drywall Estimator (Steel Frame) for a family-run commercial contractor in Merrimack, NH, that has built a real reputation across New England on a simple idea: build with integrity. The people who hire them keep hiring them. That tells you most of what you need to know.
Here is what makes this seat different. This is not a shop that only hangs board and screws down studs. They self-perform the whole envelope. Steel metal framing, drywall and finishing, cold-formed metal trusses, acoustical ceilings, sound attenuation, EIFS, fiber-reinforced polymer, air and vapor barriers, and exterior structural metal assemblies. So when you sit down to estimate, you are pricing real, varied scope across commercial, industrial, and retail work. Not counting 2x4s in your sleep.
What you would own:
You would read the drawings and specs, run accurate takeoffs, and turn them into estimates you can stand behind. You would qualify subcontractor and vendor pricing, find the value engineering, price the change orders, and get clean proposals out the door on time. You would work shoulder to shoulder with project managers and the field, and you would talk straight with architects and clients when the job calls for it.
What I am looking for:
Three to 3 - 5 estimating, drywall and light gauge metal framing, highly desirable.
Strong on On-Screen Takeoff and estimating software.
You know construction materials, methods, and what they actually cost.
You can read a drawing set and a spec book and see what is missing before it bites anyone.
You juggle several jobs at once without dropping the ball, and you know the codes and compliance side well enough to keep everyone honest.
Excellent company package - in the range of $100,000 to $130,000 (some flexibility) depending on what you bring, plus health insurance, 401(k) with a match, and paid time off.
Even if you are comfortable where you are, but you want more interesting work and more room to grow, call or text me anytime for a no-pressure chat. Absolute confidentiality, always.
